Meanwhile, North Penn-Mansfield beat Northern Potter 31-23 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Penn-Mansfield.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Penn-Mansfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than McKenna Lightner, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Kameron Lightner was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Cowanesque Valley bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for North Penn-Mansfield, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
