Unity Christian proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen 2-1. Given Unity Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 48th, while MOC-Floyd Valley are ranked 158th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Unity Christian's record now sits at 8-3-2. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, they dropped their record down to 0-9-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Unity Christian will challenge Sioux Center at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
