Softball Recap: Miller Grove's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Miller Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the M.L. King Lions by a score of 16-15. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 16-13.

JaNiya Smith and Imari Ward did some serious damage despite the final result: Smith got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Ward went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Anazji Gordon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Miller Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 17-2. As for M.L. King, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Miller Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for M.L. King, they will take on Arabia Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
