Baseball Game Preview: Fraser Ramblers vs. Richmond Blue Devils

The Fraser Ramblers are taking a road trip to take on the Richmond Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Richmond took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Fraser, who comes in off a win.

The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Fraser and Utica had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Ramblers came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Ramblers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Richmond was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Athens. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their 25-game winning streak.

Fraser's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 27-2.

Fraser came up short against Richmond in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, falling 13-9. Can the Ramblers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
