Preview: Bishop Diego Cardinals vs. St. Bonaventure Seraphs
Bishop Diego has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Diego has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, Bishop Diego earned a 50-39 win over Cate.
Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Santa Clara 55-23 on the road. Winning may never get old, but St. Bonaventure sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Sarah Cosio continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Fernandez, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bishop Diego's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for St. Bonaventure, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
Bishop Diego suffered a grim 60-34 defeat to St. Bonaventure in their previous matchup on January 9th. Can Bishop Diego avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
