It was a good run, but Dewey unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Elk City Elks by a score of 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bulldoggers were not able to get on the board.

Dewey saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaelynn Smith, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Dewey's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Elk City, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Dewey will look to defend their home field on Friday against Collinsville at 4:00 p.m. As for Elk City, they will take on Bishop McGuinness at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
