It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Monache Marauders had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Warriors with a 41-37 win. Winning may never get old, but Monache sure is getting used to it with their 16th in a row.
Tehachapi lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kennedy Perkins, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Perkins is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Riley Walden was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Monache is on a roll lately: they've won 23 of their last 24 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 31-2 record this season. As for Tehachapi, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-3.
