Baseball Recap: Sault Area Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Sault Area's offense. They fell just short of the Petoskey Northmen by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Northmen: they've now lost nine in a row.

Sault Area's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Petoskey, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Sault Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Petoskey, they will be playing at home against Cheboygan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.54 runs per game on average), something the Northmen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
