West has gone 7-0 against El Segundo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The West Warriors will square off against the El Segundo Eagles at 4:30 p.m. El Segundo took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on West, who comes in off a win.

West took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Peninsula by a score of 55-44. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Panthers are ranked 433rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

El Segundo has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against South on Friday, falling 60-39.

El Segundo's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for West, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 15-8.

Everything came up roses for West against El Segundo in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 67-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for West since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
