Carson is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Rancho Dominguez. That's two games in a row now that the Colts have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, San Pedro put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let Gardena onto the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering the Pirates have won 14 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Gardena from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kobe Teofilo led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

San Pedro pushed their record up to 19-0-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six games. As for Carson, they now have a losing record at 7-8-1.
