Soccer Game Preview: Southeast Polk vs. Bettendorf

The Southeast Polk Rams will face off against the Bettendorf Bulldogs on Friday. Southeast Polk has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Bettendorf will come in with three straight victories.

On Tuesday, Southeast Polk didn't have quite enough to beat Iowa City West and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Bettendorf kept a clean sheet against Central DeWitt on Monday. They blew past Central DeWitt 9-0. Considering Bettendorf have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Bettendorf pushed their record up to 8-2-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those five matches. As for Southeast Polk, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-6.

Southeast Polk beat Bettendorf by a goal in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 1-0. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
