Preview: Vasquez Mustangs vs. Trinity Classical Academy Knights
Vasquez has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Trinity Classical Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Vasquez posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Santa Clarita Christian with a sharp 60-36 victory.
Meanwhile, Trinity Classical Academy came tearing into Friday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Verdugo Hills 62-35 at home. Trinity Classical Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Vasquez has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Trinity Classical Academy, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home.
Vasquez was dealt a bruising 51-22 defeat at the hands of Trinity Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Vasquez was down 37-6.
