Softball Recap: Lagrange's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Heard County last Saturday, LaGrange came back down to earth. The Grangers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mary Persons Bulldogs on Thursday. The Grangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

LaGrange moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Mary Persons, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, LaGrange will head out on the road to face off against Spalding at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Grangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Mary Persons, they will challenge Walnut Grove at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
