Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Polar Bears vs. Lorain Titans

The Jackson Polar Bears will square off against the Lorain Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jackson will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Jackson was able to grind out a solid win over Avon, taking the game 4-1. That's two games straight that the Polar Bears have won by exactly three runs.

Elyria hit Lorain with a five-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans fell 10-6 to the Pioneers. The Titans have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lorain saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giovanni Aybar, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base and one run. Aybar has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Lorain's loss dropped their record down to 8-17-1. As for Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.
