Westmont had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They secured a 47-43 W over the Prospect Panthers. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 49-47 loss the last time these two teams met.

Prospect lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sadie Slaughter, who went 7 of 17 en route to 19 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Akeisha McDaid, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.

Westmont has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Prospect, they moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Westmont has already played their next matchup, a 47-32 win against Piedmont Hills on the 14th. As for Prospect, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-38 victory against Leigh on the 11th.
