Elkhorn North found a leader in Paige Asher as the squad took down Bennington on Monday. Asher was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Asher and Elkhorn North will venture away from home to take on Duchesne/Roncalli at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Asher has dominated as far as strikeouts are concerned (she's averaged 6.9 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering Duchesne/Roncalli have only allowed four per game this season.
