Basketball Game Preview: Sanger Apaches vs. Hoover Patriots

The Sanger Apaches are taking a road trip to face off against the Hoover Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Sanger made off with a 40-39 victory over Torres. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Apaches.

Meanwhile, Hoover posted their biggest win since January 3rd on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Edison as Hoover made off with a 63-43 victory. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Tigers are ranked 775th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hoover now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Sanger, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-12.

Sanger and Hoover were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup last Tuesday, but Sanger came up empty-handed after a 47-46 loss. Can Sanger avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
