Mt. Zion barely beat Bowdon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Red Devils on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Mt. Zion has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Bowdon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Mt. Zion will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pepperell at 4:45 p.m. on October 6. As for Bowdon, they will challenge Haralson County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
