Basketball Recap: Anisa Blalock Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cosumnes Oaks

Freedom was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cosumnes Oaks on Monday. The Freedom Falcons were the clear victor by a 53-33 margin over the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Freedom's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anisa Blalock, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Another player making a difference was Ariel De La O, who had eight points and 11 rebounds.

Freedom smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Cosumnes Oaks' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Skylar Williams, who put up seven points, and Sydney Pelote, who posted six points and three steals.

Freedom is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Cosumnes Oaks, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
