Thursday just wasn't the day for Cross Plains's offense. They took a blow against the Albany Lions on Thursday, falling 42-0. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Buffaloes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Landry Savell threw for 54 yards on three of eight attempts.

Shawn Keen was nothing short of spectacular for Albany: he rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Keen's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Chapman, who threw for 199 yards and one TD while completing 78.9% of his passes.

Cross Plains dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Albany, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
