Preview: North Allegheny Tigers vs. Hempfield Area Spartans
North Allegheny is 3-0 against Hempfield Area since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The North Allegheny Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Hempfield Area Spartans at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Allegheny has three straight victories, Hempfield Area has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Sunday, North Allegheny didn't have too much trouble with Susquehanna Township on the road as they won 58-44.
Meanwhile, Hempfield Area pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-55 to Butler.
North Allegheny's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Hempfield Area, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-6.
North Allegheny strolled past Hempfield Area in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 59-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Allegheny since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
