Recap: Notre Dame Spirits vs. North Monterey County Condors
There's no place like home for the Notre Dame Spirits, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past North Monterey County with a 38-33 victory on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Notre Dame, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Aveena Ducusin was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with three steals and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Avery Aguilera was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for North Monterey County, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will take on Gonzales at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Gonzales is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for North Monterey County, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Pajaro Valley at 7:00 p.m.
