Softball Recap: Denison-Schleswig Takes a Loss

If Denison-Schleswig was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Red Oak on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monarchs fell just short of the Lincoln Lynx by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Monarchs were not able to make up for their loss to the Lynx from their previous meeting back in July of 2024.

Denison-Schleswig has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season. As for Lincoln, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-28.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Denison-Schleswig will head out to square off against Glenwood on Thursday. As for Lincoln, they will face off against Sioux City North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
