West Valley had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Central Valley on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Falcons 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Rainessa Matthews paced West Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Matthews got some help from Marlee Byxbe and her 20 assists. Byxbe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

West Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Central Valley, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

West Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Yreka on the 30th. As for Central Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Anderson on the 30th.
