Soccer Recap: Vista Murrieta Find Success

After losing to Murrieta Valley the last time they met, Vista Murrieta decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vista Murrieta Broncos had just enough and edged the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks out 2-1.

Kieana Smith and Destiny Cabrera scored both of Vista Murrieta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Vista Murrieta's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3-1. As for Murrieta Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vista Murrieta will venture away from home to challenge Murrieta Mesa at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Vista Murrieta is facing Murrieta Mesa at the right time seeing as Murrieta Mesa is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
