Soccer Game Preview: Allen vs. Plano

The Allen Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Plano Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

If Allen beats Plano with two goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Rock Hill 2-1. Allen haven't had any issues with Rock Hill recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Plano hasn't lost a match since January 2nd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let McKinney get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Given Plano's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while McKinney are ranked 342nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Allen's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Plano, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-1.
