Softball Game Preview: Discovery Titans vs. Berkmar Patriots

The Discovery Titans will take on the Berkmar Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Berkmar will be up against a hot Discovery team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Titans never let Meadowcreek get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Titans have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kendall Cross, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Michaela Sartin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs.

Discovery hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Berkmar lost 26-16 to Meadowcreek on Monday.

Berkmar's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Discovery, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
