Buena Vista extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 3-0. They walked away with a 37-27 victory over the Centauri Falcons. For the Demons, this counts as revenge for the 19-13 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Eli Schuknecht was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 126 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 58 receiving yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Hudson Wingo, who threw for 211 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes.

Having lost for the first time this season, Centauri fell to 2-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sean Jarvies, who threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Shawcroft, who picked up 60 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Buena Vista and Centauri will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Demons see the field they'll take on Limon at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Centauri, their break will end when they face Bayfield at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
