Soccer Game Preview: Western vs. Magnolia

The Western Pioneers will face off against the Magnolia Sentinels at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Western's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They skirted past Orange 1-0.

Meanwhile, Magnolia entered their tilt with Santa Ana Valley on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over the Falcons. Angela Mantujano was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Magnolia has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9-2 record this season. As for Western, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8-3.
