Soccer Game Preview: Cook vs. Savannah Arts Academy

The Cook Hornets will venture away from home to square off against the Savannah Arts Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cook took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Westover by a score of 5-3. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hornets needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

They hit Westover with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Fernando Fernandez (2), Alan Garcia (2), and Connor Medley.

Meanwhile, Savannah Arts Academy kept a clean sheet against Calvary Day on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cavaliers.

The victory snapped Cook's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 1-4 record. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
