Football Recap: Smith Center Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Smith Center strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Norton Bluejays by a score of 28-20. This was payback for the Redmen, who suffered a 54-22 loss the last time these two teams met.

Several Bluejays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jarrett Pfannenstiel, who rushed for 71 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Smith Center's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Norton, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smith Center will challenge Plainville on Friday. As for Norton, they will face off against Minneapolis on Friday.
