Volleyball Recap: Winnebago Comes Up Short

Winnebago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Winnebago was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Lyons-Decatur Northeast work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25.

Winnebago's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.

Winnebago has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Tri County Northeast on the 25th. As for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Madison.
