Soccer Recap: Centennial Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Centennial entered their game against Santa Margarita on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Centennial Huskies came up short against the Santa Margarita Eagles, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Eagles are ranked second).

Centennial's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Santa Margarita, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will head out to challenge Western Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Santa Margarita, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Troy at 12:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
