Softball Recap: Chamblee's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Chamblee's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Lakeside Vikings. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Chamblee got a massive performance out of Clara Godwin, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave Godwin a new career-high. Sadie Godwin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Chamblee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Chamblee's record is now 12-13. As for Lakeside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11.

Looking ahead, Chamblee will take on Marist at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeside, they will face off against Woodward Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
