Basketball Recap: Las Plumas Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Las Plumas extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Ava Hepworth. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds secured a 39-34 W over the Quincy Trojans on Thursday thanks in part to Hepworth, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 boards. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played.

Despite the loss, Quincy still got an impressive performance from Shelby Nussle, who posted 17 points. Nussle continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hana Hostetter, who had six points.

Las Plumas now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Quincy, they moved to 8-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Las Plumas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-34 win against Yreka on the 10th. As for Quincy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-50 victory against Oroville on the 10th.
