Soccer Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Pitman

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pitman). Everything went their way against the Merced Bears on Tuesday as the Pitman Pride made off with an 8-1 win. It was an even better day for Emily Martinez as she scored four goals for her team.

The victory (which was Pitman's fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five games. As for Merced, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Pitman will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Enochs at 3:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Merced, they will be home for the holidays to greet Summerville at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
