Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Monroe Area

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monroe Area). They put the hurt on the Johns Creek Gladiators with a sharp 15-2 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Purple Hurricanes, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Monroe Area's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Johns Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
