Recap: Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades vs. Creighton Bulldogs
The Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against Creighton by a score of 36-26.
Chambers/Wheeler Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Moses, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Moses has scored at least 25% of Chambers/Wheeler Central's points. Another player making a difference was Lizzie Gartner, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Chambers/Wheeler Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Creighton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Chambers/Wheeler Central won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Anselmo-Merna at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully Anselmo-Merna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Saturday. As for Creighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Tuesday.
