Basketball Game Preview: The Cambridge School Griffins vs. Horizon Prep Lions

Everything went The Cambridge School's way against Monte Vista on Saturday as The Cambridge School made off with a 47-24 win. That's two games straight that the Griffins have won by exactly 23 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Horizon Prep's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 39-27 to O'Farrell Charter. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while the Falcons are ranked 967th).

Horizon Prep's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2. As for The Cambridge School, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 11-2.

The Cambridge School came out on top in a nail-biter against Horizon Prep when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 23-21. Does The Cambridge School have another victory up their sleeve, or will Horizon Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
