Soccer Game Preview: Grace Davis vs. Pacheco

The Grace Davis Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Pacheco Panthers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Davis will be strutting in after a victory while Pacheco will be coming in after a loss.

Grace Davis will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Ceres, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. Grace Davis blew past Ceres 3-0 on Thursday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pacheco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Beyer, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 988th, while the Patriots are ranked 190th).

Grace Davis' win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Pacheco, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Everything went Grace Davis' way against Pacheco when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Grace Davis made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grace Davis since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
