Basketball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Madison Warhawks

High Tech SD is 0-5 against Madison since January of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. Both will face off at 6:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. High Tech SD is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.

High Tech SD will head into Monday's match after some sweet revenge against Southwest SD: High Tech SD made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southwest SD, but still couldn't quite topple them. High Tech SD simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Southwest SD 78-32. With the Storm ahead 44-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.

High Tech SD found their leader in freshman Poema Strong, who went 14 of 23 on her way to 36 points along with eight boards and seven assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which Strong has scored at least a third of High Tech SD's points. Ka'Mari House was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds.

High Tech SD was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 7.

Meanwhile, Madison entered their tilt with Hilltop on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 38-25 win over the Lancers. That's two games straight that the Warhawks have won by exactly 13 points.

High Tech SD's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

High Tech SD took a serious blow against Madison when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 63-29. Can High Tech SD avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
