Basketball Recap: Stone Ridge Christian Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Stone Ridge Christian had won two straight road games and Bella Ewing did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Stone Ridge Christian Knights came out on top against the Mariposa County Grizzlies by a score of 52-41 thanks in part to Ewing, who posted 30 points. Her evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Mariposa County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Hansen, who had ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Hansen is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Kylee Hutchings, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

The win got Stone Ridge Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Mariposa County, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.

Stone Ridge Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-34 defeat against Fresno Christian on the 10th. As for Mariposa County, they will welcome Denair at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
