Mays had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They put the hurt on the Southern Lab Kittens with a sharp  12-2 win.
  Ronald Tucker and  TyReon Byner did most of the damage at the plate:  Tucker  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Byner  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Mays is 5-2 when  Byner posts two or  more  runs, but 4-12 otherwise.  LaMarquis Sandifer was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
Mays' victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Southern Lab,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mays will challenge Creekside at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Seminoles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.93  runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southern Lab, they will be playing at home against Central Private  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
