Baseball Game Preview: Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles vs. Hudson Hawks

The Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles will head out to take on the Hudson Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Monday just wasn't the day for Advanced Math & Science Academy's offense. They lost 8-0 to Nipmuc Regional on Monday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hudson didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln-Sudbury on Monday and fell 6-4.

Thomas Roush and Jackson Wood did some serious damage despite the final result: Roush went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Wood went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Advanced Math & Science Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Advanced Math & Science Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hudson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Advanced Math & Science Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Hudson when the teams last played back in June of 2021, winning 6-3. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
