Recap: Wasco Tigers vs. Central Valley Christian Cavaliers
The Wasco Tigers were the 56-45 winner over the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Wasco's rough 54-29 defeat to Central Valley Christian on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Wasco's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Wasco's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Illiana Villanueva, who scored nine points, and Camila Almanza who scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Villanueva has scored all season.
Central Valley Christian found their leader in underclassman Ally Lane, who scored 23 points. That's the first time this season that Lane scored 15 or more points. Kamryn Westra was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Wasco's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Central Valley Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Wasco's road trip will continue as they head out to face Granite Hills at 5:00 p.m. on December 8th. As for Central Valley Christian, they will take on Strathmore at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
