Soccer Recap: Grace Davis Takes a Loss

Grace Davis managed to keep up with Beyer until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Grace Davis Spartans lost 3-0 to the Beyer Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Patriots are ranked 198th).

Grace Davis has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Beyer, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Grace Davis will be playing in front of their home fans against Ceres at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beyer, they will head out on the road to square off against Pacheco at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Beyer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.
