Baseball Recap: Orono Takes a Loss

Orono fell victim to Mount View and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The loss continues a trend for the Riots in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Orono saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sumner Stitham, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Stitham's first of the season.

Orono's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mount View, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Orono didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Mattanawcook on the 11th. As for Mount View, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bucksport on the 11th.
