Basketball Game Preview: Temescal Canyon Titans vs. Palm Desert Aztecs

The Temescal Canyon Titans will square off against the Palm Desert Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Temescal Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Palm Desert likes a good challenge.

Temescal Canyon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-48 win over California School for the Deaf-Riverside. Temescal Canyon's victory was all the more impressive since the Cubs were averaging only 29.62 points allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Palm Desert waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 47-34 win over the Conquerors.

Temescal Canyon pushed their record up to 12-15 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for Palm Desert, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.

Everything came up roses for Temescal Canyon against Palm Desert in their previous meeting back in December of 2015, as the team secured a 59-23 victory. Will Temescal Canyon repeat their success, or does Palm Desert have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
