Softball Recap: Gatewood Takes a Loss

Gatewood and Brentwood squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gatewood had to settle for second. They lost 13-7 to the War Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the War Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Natalie Sills was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Lily Arthur was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Gatewood's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Brentwood, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-1.

As of now, neither Gatewood nor the War Eagles have any future games scheduled.
