Basketball Recap: Orange Vista Takes a Loss

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Orange Vista had to take the L. They fell just short of the JW North Huskies by a score of 43-40 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Coyotes have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Maya Marmolejo went supernova for JW North, going 10 of 18 en route to 21 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Marmolejo a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliyah Washington, who put up eight points and ten boards.

Orange Vista has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for JW North, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-16 record.

Orange Vista has already played their next contest, a 57-44 defeat against Hemet on the 29th. As for JW North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-41 victory against Liberty on the 30th.
